Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak™ Dry Shampoo

Project: [SPEC] NYM Brands wanted to run a full page magazine ad for their most popular product, Clean Freak™ Dry Shampoo. They needed to demonstrate to their target audience, busy women, why they couldn’t live without their product.

Strategy: The most important part of the ad was writing a headline that would stop people in their tracks and get them to read about it, so I literally used the word “Stop,” but followed it up with a clear benefit that would also spark a question in “washing your hair every day.” The subhead further explained the benefit more clearly. From there, I used concise language that stayed true to the brand voice to demonstrate exactly what to expect when using the product. I ended with a memorable stinger that echoed the benefit.
